Today we began to edit to footage we filmed on Monday of
Liam’s flashbacks which shown the happy close relationship he shared with his
younger brother Alfie. As we wanted to portray these images as flashbacks we
made sure they visibly appeared different to other footage. We did this by reducing
the opacity of the clips and adding a white filter over the top with the use of
a plain white image. We also added a fade to white effect between each transition to emphasis this. We looked at various soundtracks which we believed could play on top of the other soundtrack (non-diegetic) sound. We thought by adding another the suspense which was earlier created would be amplified as it further creates a sinister atmosphere. As we had time remaining we also took the opportunity to improve any transitions between clips to improve the continuity of the sequence.
